Once this weekend’s Hallowe’en parties are over and the kids are back at school on Monday morning, the focus will inevitably and rather depressingly shift to Christmas. For those who look forward to the festive season the moment they return from their summer holiday (my sister) the plethora of reindeer, angel and present themed decorations will simply add to the excitement.
I’m a bit more bah-humbug than that, or at least will be until December, so I am holding off on discussing Christmas outfits for a while, preferring to stick with the gloomy and dark theme of witches and ghouls.
The new autumn collection at Warehouse is full of very Gothicky yet sophisticated and modern pieces which will work beautifully in the day or equally well for evening. This high street favourite which first opened in London in 1976, has a more grown up feel this year (well we all take stock as we approach 40 after all) and what’s more Grazia UK has 25% off this week! Hooraay! I for one have my eye on these gorgeous pieces.
I’m not really supposed to wear black but hey, it’s Hallowe’en and what better time to purchase another Little Black Dress? And if you must, you can always add sparkly accessories in the run up to Christmas (or tinsel and a plate of cranberry and brie parcels if you’re my sister).
